The CCV team will work in partnership with our missionaries Ricky & Tracie Olivares in Cusco and Brian & Chiqui Ridenour in Tacna. The team will spend a week in each location. Ministry opportunities include service with feeding programs, evangelism, construction and micro-business preparation.

In Cusco, Peru Richy and Tracie have a church planting focus with 30 people in the congregation. 100 children attend the good news club every Saturday. They put a major focus on leadership development because there are no Bible school in the area. The are working hard to build a team of people who can work together to impact Peru for Christ.

There is a great need in Cuzco. Cuzco is primarily a tourist location which is expensive for the locals, therefore there are many poor families in the area. There is also a major problem with substance abuse. There is also a strong Mayan influence in the area with other cults which makes it difficult for Christianity to thrive.

The Summer 2010 team was able to help with many of the programs that both missionaries were involved with. The teams also had opportunity to do door to door evangelism and cared for people one on one. Caring for people one on one is extremely important in Peru.
