Our hearts go out to the victims of the Moore, Oklahoma tornado tragedy. We here at CCV YEL Families would like to help out! We are collecting gifts cards to Wal-Mart and Home Depot, and cash donations as well. Please bring them either this weekend or next into the Elementary Check in area during any service or during the week to the CCV office Tues - Thurs 9am - 5pm or Fri 9am to 3pm. We will be sending all donations to Community Christian Church in Moore, OK and they will distribute to those in need.

This weekend FIFTEEN families dedicated their children to the Lord in a ceremony during the Worship service. Which was the culmination of a process where those parents spent significant time studying the Word and learning what God expects from them as parents.
They also dedicated themselves to do everything in their power to raise their child(ren) to KNOW Christ.
CCVKids is thrilled to walk alongside these and all our families as they Explore new territories!

This weekend our preschoolers and kindergartners will be asked to become aware of times they can pray. Especially in hard times, for example: looking at this picture ask your child this question, "Does God see this person? What could this person be saying to God?" Explain that prayer is just talking to God. Tell about a time when you faced a difficult situation (or remind your child of a difficult situation your family faced together). Say, "Can we talk to God when we have to do hard things?"
Now read Acts 16 and the story of Paul and Silas in jail. Your child is going to be SO ready for this weekend's lesson!!
